Alert message sent 09/03/2021 15:47:00

Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

We are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted during a road rage incident in Swindon.

It started at around 5pm on Sunday 28 February when the victim, in a white Hyundai, was driving on Transfer Bridges.

He was verbally abused by the driver of a black Audi, who then followed the victim's car along Great Western Way and to an alleyway of garages between Ferndale Road and Howse Garden.

The driver of the Audi, a white man believed to be in his 20s and around 6ft 2ins tall with brown hair and a small beard, then punched the other victim a number of times in the face, before driving off.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was left with bruising.

We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have dash cam footage which could assist our enquiries.

Please call Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting crime reference 54210019420. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
