Alert message sent 31/03/2021 15:16:00

Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

We're appealing for witnesses to an aggravated burglary in Swindon town centre last night (30/03).

At approximately 10.30pm, a group of unknown offenders entered an address on Commercial Road and assaulted the male occupant before stealing a computer, phone and tablet.

The man, who's in his 30s, received non-life threatening injuries but was badly shaken.

Det Sgt Justin Downes said:  "We'd like to hear from anyone who may have heard or seen anything suspicious in this part of town yesterday evening.

"Commercial Road is a main thoroughfare for traffic, so, we'd also like to hear from anyone who was travelling along the street in a vehicle and may have dash cam footage of anything suspicious and/or of the offenders entering or leaving the property.

"If you can help in anyway, please contact us on 101 quoting crime reference number 54210029961.  Alternatively, you can report anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
