Burglary warning for Bishopdown area of Salisbury

We have received a series of reports of theft from motor vehicles, sheds and garages which took place last night (30/04) or in the early hours of this morning (01/05) in the Bishopdown area of Salisbury: 

Fison Walk - An unknown offender has broken the padlock off a shed and taken two push bikes. 

Lindford Road - An unknown suspect has entered an unlocked garage and removed a heavy duty chain from an e-bike and taken it. 

St Bedes Close - An unknown person has entered a car.  An untidy search has taken place and some loose change has been taken. 

St Bedes Close - An unknown offender has entered a garden and left some property not belonging to that address.

St David's Close - An unknown suspect has stolen the front and rear number plate from a vehicle whilst it was parked unattended outside an address.

St Ursula's close - An unknown suspect has gained entry to a garage - it's believed nothing was stolen. 

Bingham Road - An unknown person has entered an unlocked vehicle and has carried out an untidy search.  Nothing was taken. 

Fotherby Crescent - An unknown suspect has kicked over a motorcycle causing significant damage. 

Howes Crescent – An unknown person is believed to have tried a front door handle before making off. 
Sgt Tracey Holloway, from Salisbury Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "We would like to make the local community aware of this series of incidents which took place in a short time last night.  Please be mindful and check your vehicles, sheds and gardens are secure. 

"We are currently carrying out enquiries into these reports and believe they are linked. 

"We would also ask everyone living in this area to check their vehicles, sheds and garages to make sure nothing has been tampered with or stolen.  If you find it has, please call us. 

"We would like CCTV footage to help with our investigation.  If you have CCTV on your property - perhaps a smart doorbell or camera installed - then please contact us. 

"I appreciate this is a concern for people and so my officers will be carrying out reassurance patrols in the area.  You may notice an increased police presence.  

"If you have any questions or information to help us, please feel free to stop one our officers on patrol or call us on 101."
