Sunday 17th October 2021
This morning, officers from the Warminster Area Community Policing Team (CPT) conducted speed checks on Victoria Road and Boreham Road. Five drivers were stopped and educated regarding the manner of their driving. Two drivers were issued with Traffic Offence Reports for excess speed. The CPT, including our Special Constables and the Roads Policing Unit, continue to conduct speed checks across the wider Warminster, Westbury, Tisbury and Mere areas, in support of Community Speedwatch.
To address matters of excess speed in your area, you can:
• Contact the Community Speedwatch team Community Speedwatch | Wiltshire Police . The CPT work alongside established, active Community Speedwatch groups, who are further supported by our Civilian Enforcement Officers.
• Approach your local Community Area Transport Group (CATG), to consider road safety engineering works: Community area transport groups - Wiltshire Council

Sunday 17th October
Following the murder of Sarah Everard, we are aware of concerns from the public, particularly from women, about interactions with police officers.
We appreciate that the onus is on us, as a police service, to proactively offer any additional reassurance we can to the communities we serve.
We are here to protect and serve you and we understand that you might have questions or comments on how we work to achieving that.
On Wednesday 20 October at 5.30pm, Chief Constable Kier Pritchard will be taking part in a Facebook Live session and will be here to answer your questions and offer reassurance. If you are unable to make this time, you can ask your questions in advance here
