Farm Fuel Theft - Aldbourne

Alert message sent 08/04/2022 08:12:00

Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

Dear All,

We have received a report that approx 700litres of Red Diesel was stolen overnight on the 6th April 2022 from a farm in the Aldbourne area.

With fuel prices rising including the current cost of red diesel this continues to be a commodity that is being targetted.

It is also worth pointing out that the rules on the use of Red Diesel changed on the 1st April 2022 which means that plant machinery on construction sites will have to use white diesel which cannot be traced as easily as red diesel making this a target for thieves.

Kind Regards,

PCSO Jonathan Mills
