Op Sceptre Week

Alert message sent 16/05/2022 17:57:00

Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

Operation Sceptre launched today in Devizes, Marlborough and Pewsey. The team has been busy taking part in school visits and community engagements:

📍 A joint visit to Lavington Secondary School at lunch time
📍 A team visit to St Johns Secondary School in Marlborough during afternoon break
📍 A joint visit to Devizes Secondary School at finishing time

We’ve spoken to so many children regarding possession of weapons and how to stay safe when they’re out with their friends. Its so important to make them feel empowered around making decisions and giving them the tools to speak out anonymously when someone might be putting others at risk.

Huge thank you to Steve Dewar from ‘Youth for Christ’ for coming along as well with the pop up youth cafe 😁🎉
